Pond Tour and BBQ is a Fundraiser for the Chester County Food Bank

It is crunch time for all of us at Turpin Landscaping and for all the pond owners who have graciously agreed to open not only their ponds but their properties for the Pond Tour and BBQ as well, for this wonderful fundraiser. Lotus BloomWe may be a bit weary as we put in a lot of preparation but we know that in the end it will be well worth the effort! One of our pond owners sent us a photo of her Lotus blooming in full splendor. This photo sure gave all of us a little jolt of adrenaline knowing that this beauty and hundreds more blooms await our guests for the Brandywine Valley Water Garden Tour. Thanks Kate, for sharing this photo with all of us.

Have you seen the signs?  Pond Tour & BBQ July 25th & July 26th.  Last year several of our guests suggested we add lunch to the tour. So, as we continue to fine-tune and improve this tour, we have taken their advice and added lunch which is optional. ThaliaLunch will be served at several of the properties on the tour. Locations will be clearly marked on the maps that are provided to all our guests. Since our goal is to raise funds for the Chester County Food Bank, all proceeds from lunch purchased on the tour will go directly to this worthy cause. Lunch will consist of a grilled hotdog, chips, a drink and a cookie. Once again we find ourselves thanking our wonderful homeowners who agreed to handle the grilling for us. What can we say? We happen to have some of the nicest, most supportive friends a company could ask for!

Bus tour 2015 largeJust a reminder that we offer two tour options; the first is the self-guided two day tour. This means you pickup your map, select the locations that interest you, and plan your route or type the addresses into your GPS and you are on your way. The second option is to register for the tour bus. The air-conditioned tour bus will leave Turpin Landscaping promptly at 9:00am and you will be driven in comfort on a pre-determined route with some special stops exclusive to the bus tour. The bus tour includes a box lunch, but please beware that the bus is only available on Saturday and space is limited. Those that purchase a bus ticket for Saturday may continue with a self-guided tour to any of the gardens of your choosing on Sunday.

We are hoping for stellar weather but the truth is, time spent in a summer garden is wonderful even if it rains a bit! The barbecue location has an enormous tent provided and will be held rain or shine.

Adios, and come on out and spend some time in a garden and support a very worthwhile cause, The Chester County Food Bank!
