The Landscape Contractor in Montgomery County to Win Best In Show at Philly Home Show

Landscape-Contractor-in-Montgomery-County-8Now that we have all shoveled and plowed ourselves out from the record-breaking blizzard of 2016, its time to say a big THANK YOU to all of you who stopped by and visited us at the All New Philly Home Show in Oaks this year. We at Turpin Landscaping were super excited to be the Landscape Contractor in Montgomery County to win best in show.  We thoroughly enjoyed the time spent educating friends, both old and new, about ecosystem ponds, pondless waterfalls, landscaping, hardscaping & masonary. Landscape-Contractor-in-Montgomery-County-5One of the many highlights for us was watching the news reporters enjoying the view of the pond from our patio while giving local viewers a rundown of the show. The setup was so beautiful the reporters couldn’t resist relaxing by the pond. The local press also visited us and gave us some wonderful coverage. Always a highlight for both young and old alike is the stepping stone bridge across the pond and the kids sure loved trying to find the koi and the turtles that swam in the pond during the show.

Landscape-Contractor-in-Montgomery-County-6Feeding the turtles always brings lots of smiles and excitement; many of the children come each year hoping to see the wildlife in the pond. If you did stop by, we hope that you were able to enjoy some of the fresh baked bruschetta, golden brown pretzel braids and cold root beer on tap. It was fun to be able to cook onsite. Many people were fascinated by the idea of an outdoor oven and the chefs in the crowd had a lot of questions about just what an outdoor oven can do. Cooking outdoors sure keeps the house cool and clean up is a breeze!

Winning this award makes building a 1000 gallon indoor pond, moving 25 ton (50,000 pounds) of rocks and boulders, building a custom pergola, installing hundreds of plants, shrubs and aquatic plants, and an 18 foot Birch tree, worth every bit of work that is involved in this large indoor project.

Thank you again for joining us and we hope that you will join us again next year as we try once again, to outdo the previous years creativity!
