Brandywine Valley Water Garden Tour Raises $16,500 for Chester County Food Bank

What can we say…….YOUR GENEROSITY OVERWHELMS US! To all our customers, committee members, sponsors and family members who have supported us, and to all our friends who have worked tirelessly along side of us, we humbly thank you from the bottom or our hearts! Your gift of time and talent has made the presentation of this donation possible. Thursday, October 1^st we presented a check in the amount of $16,500.00 to Larry Welsch, Executive Director of the Chester County Food Bank. This donation is the cumulative effort of many generous sponsors and customers who opened their properties for one or more of our annual Pond and Garden Tour Fund Raisers. The food bank serves over 90 food cupboards and meal sites. Near and dear to our heart is the Raised Bed Gardens program that was started in 2009 with just 25 beds at six sites. Today they have 621 gardens at 122 sites, including 49 schools. The Children’s Backpack Program is another worthwhile cause that is supported through the tour. For more than 10 years with the help of our friends, families and generous sponsors we have been able to donate over $80,000.00 to the Chester County Food Bank! We could not be more grateful to each and every one of you for making the 2015 season of Pond and Garden Tours an AMAZING success!
